Macron urges allies not to be 'coward' on Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron says it's time for Ukraine's allies to step up, emphasizing that now is not the time to be "coward", according to Reuters.
"We are certainly approaching a moment in our Europe where it will be appropriate not to be a coward," he says.
Referring to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Macron says that France and Czechia are "well aware that war is back on our soil (in Europe), that some powers which have become unstoppable are extending every day their threat of attacking us even more, and that we will have to live up to history and the courage that it requires."
However, Macron did not elaborate on this.
Macron's statement on sending NATO troops to Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron has not ruled out the possibility that NATO could send troops to help Ukraine. The main problem, he said, is that there is currently no consensus on this issue.
Several NATO countries have already opposed this idea, including Germany, Czechia, Bulgaria, Spain, and Italy.
At the same time, some countries are ready to consider such a possibility, such as Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
Canada, which is also a NATO member, has stated that it is ready to send troops to Ukraine, but only to train Ukrainian defenders in areas far from the front.
